Coach Santos began coaching at Granite Hills in 1988 as the Boy's J.V. coach. In 1991, he became the head coach for boys. From 1991-96, his teams were consistently in the top 8 of Division 1 volleyball in San Diego County. He was selected to be a coach for the San Diego County All Stars in 1994 + 1996. His best finishes were 1994-96 finishing 5th in the Division 1. He returned to coach the boys in 2005.

 

In 1991, Coach Santos took over the Girls program. In a 10-year span, Granite Hills never missed the playoffs. Again, his teams were consistently in the top 10 in San Diego. In 1995 and 2000, his varsity teams were league champions and top 5 finishers in the county. Coach Santos was selected to coach the San Diego Girls All Stars in 1994, 1996 and 2000. He retired briefly in 2000 to complete his masters and returned in 2005. After his third season back, Granite Hills won a share of the league title in 2007.

Coach Santos began coaching at Foothills Christian in 2007.  The KNIGHTS have won league championships in 07, 09, '10, '11 and finished in the CIF SEMI FINALS in 2011.

Coach Nate has been an intregal part of our programs success. He has assisted in many areas of our program and continues to do so without hesitation.

In 2010, Nate became the Head Coach of the Boy's volleyball program at FCHS.
